Job Description

• Administer nursing care to patients with abuse, addiction, and psychiatric needs
• Recognize and interpret symptoms of clients' conditions, report to appropriate personnel, and assist with remedial measures for adverse developments
• Focus on client empowerment in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs
• Diagnose and establish individualized plans giving patients total care and needed attention
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and the care team
• Educate patients and families about health maintenance and abuse prevention
• Encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in patients' personal and health care needs
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
