Join our team in Anderson, SC, for a locum tenens opportunity in gastroenterology. This ongoing assignment offers a chance to work in an acute care hospital with a supportive team.

Job Description

• Inpatient only with 100% inpatient coverage
• 24-hour call coverage shifts
• Shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (overnight)
• Scheduled and on-call required
• Average patient load: 16 patients per day, including 6 consults
• Days to privilege

Team & Support

• Group of 4 physicians
• APP support during weekdays
• Solo coverage at night and weekends
• Facility type: Acute Care Hospital
• EMR: Epic

Procedures Required

• Colonoscopy
• Liver Biopsy
• Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry & Interpretation
• Lower GI Endoscopy
• Sigmoidoscopy

Upper GI Endoscopy (required types)

• With Biopsy
• With Foreign Body Removal
• With Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser)
• With Injection of Varices
• With Banding of Varices
• With ERCP (preferred, not required)
• With PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
• Diagnostic & Therapeutic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Active South Carolina medical license (not willing to license)
• DEA required
• COVID-19 vaccine (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Flu vaccine (medical/religious exemptions only)
