Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Join our team as an Oncology Advanced Practice Provider in a dynamic outpatient setting. This position offers a full-time schedule with the opportunity to work autonomously in a supportive environment.

Job Description

• Support staff in the infusion center, which is staffed by APPs and RNs, with some MAs.
• Work through referrals from oncology counterparts in an autonomous APP role, conducting independent visits in a consultative model.
• Manage adverse reactions, transfers, and direct admissions from the emergency department.
• Provide patient care management for specific disease groups in oncology.
• Experience in managing oncology patients from diagnosis through treatment is essential.
• Handle 8-10 patients per day, primarily adults.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation.

Requirements

• California license required; must have a master's degree in physician assistant studies.
• California DEA Schedule 2 required.
• Certifications preferred: OCN or AOCNP.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in specific oncology areas; infusion experience preferred.
• Must have some inpatient or high-acuity experience; providers with only outpatient experience will not be considered. BMT and hematology experience will be considered.

Credentialing Timeframe

Credentialing is expected to take 60 days.
