Johnston Memorial Hospital and Ballad Health Medical Associates located in Abingdon, VA are currently seeking a BE/BC, Full Time Hem/Onc Physician to join their established, stable group. The candidate will join a wonderful medical community with supportive administration. Radiation Oncology onsite with TruBeam & SBRT capabilities. There is an active navigation program, American Cancer Society Resource Room, and partnership with non-profits such as Susan G. Komen, Cancer Outreach, etc. A robust and aligned local medical community supports this service, and many of the providers are aligned with Ballad Health.

Job Description

• Join 2 additional Hem/Onc Physicians and 3 APPs.
• APPs manage infusion services and see acute & symptomatic patients under the direct supervision of the physician group.
• Practice includes a full-service infusion room and a typical outpatient oncology practice.
• Pharmacy is managed by a hospital-based team, which includes an oncology boarded pharmacist on staff.
• Support from specialists including Rad Onc, Surgery, Pulm, GI, Urology, OB/GYN, Pathology, and Radiology (including IR).
• Strong primary care cohort with IM and FM residents training at JMH.
