    Cardiothoracic Surgeon

    Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a highly qualified BE/BC Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy adult cardiac surgery practice in the Louisville/southern Indiana metropolitan area. The surgeon will engage in a busy surgical caseload supporting the cardiac surgery programs at two reputable hospitals, Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health Floyd. The ideal applicant will have surgical experience with proven results and excellent technical and interpersonal skills.

    Job Description

    • The practice offers a mix of coronary, valve, re-operative, and aortic surgery cases.
    • Cardiac surgical case volume for both programs is more than 1,000 cases per year, with established STS-recognized outcomes.
    • Our surgeons have access to five operating rooms and one dedicated hybrid operating room. Training or exposure to TAVR, MICS, Coronary, ECMO, and wire skills is desirable.
    • Our surgical team includes three surgeons, nine advanced practice clinicians, and a great support staff.

    Community Overview

    Baptist Health Louisville is a 519-bed tertiary-care hospital located in the heart of St. Matthews. The all-private room hospital provides virtually all inpatient services with the exception of transplantation and burn care.

    The hospital's emergency services include special teams for heart attack and stroke care.
