Wound Care Physician Assistant
We are seeking a Wound Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment starting on June 30, 2025, in Idaho. This role involves working Mondays and Thursdays, with patient contact hours from 8 AM to 3 PM, followed by time dedicated to charting. This opportunity is ideal for those proficient in Cerner EMR systems, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient wound care.
Job Description
- Assess and treat inpatient wounds, including debridement and dressing changes
- Manage outpatient follow-ups for chronic wounds
- Apply and monitor Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
- Coordinate with nurses and other providers on wound care plans
- Document wound progress and bill for procedures
- Educate patients and staff on wound prevention and care
Requirements
- Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine
- Must hold an Idaho medical license
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Experience in a small acute care hospital preferred
