Wound Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Wound Care Physician Assistant for a 30-day locum tenens assignment starting on June 30, 2025, in Idaho. This role involves working Mondays and Thursdays, with patient contact hours from 8 AM to 3 PM, followed by time dedicated to charting. This opportunity is ideal for those proficient in Cerner EMR systems, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient wound care.

Job Description

• Assess and treat inpatient wounds, including debridement and dressing changes
• Manage outpatient follow-ups for chronic wounds
• Apply and monitor Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)
• Coordinate with nurses and other providers on wound care plans
• Document wound progress and bill for procedures
• Educate patients and staff on wound prevention and care

Requirements

• Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine
• Must hold an Idaho medical license
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Experience in a small acute care hospital preferred
