Infectious Disease Physician
We are seeking an Infectious Disease Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Georgia. This role begins on Dec 22, 2025, and offers a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, with weekend hospital rounds approximately every six weeks and a compensatory day off during rotation call weeks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing long-term IV antibiotic therapy, central line evaluation, and joint management of infected prosthetics.
Job Description
- Management of long-term IV antibiotic therapy (including OPAT)
- Central line evaluation, including removal decisions and infection assessment
- Joint management of infected prosthetics
- Guidance and documentation of isolation precautions
- Interpretation of laboratory and culture data
Requirements
- Georgia medical license required
- Board certification in Infectious Disease required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required
