Job Description

• This is a locums-to-perm opportunity starting August 11, 2025, with a preferred 7-on/7-off schedule.
• Primarily focused on rounding and medical management, especially on weekends.
• Daily rounding on all inpatients (ICU, stepdown), new consults, and discharging patients.
• Endoscopic vein harvesting and training new APPs on EVH procedures.
• First assist on surgical cases after learning surgeon preferences.
• Weekday coverage from 6:30am-4:30pm with on-call responsibilities.
• Weekend rounding on inpatients with call coverage.
• Take ICU call 1-2 nights per week (5:00pm-7:00am).
• Weekend call from Saturday 7:00am through Monday 6:30am.
• Support for various specialties including cardiac surgeries, thoracic procedures, vascular surgeries, and heart failure treatments.
• Manage approximately 8-10 inpatient encounters per shift.

Requirements

• Cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery experience required.
• PAs need endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) knowledge with approximately 500 cases/10 years experience.
