Locum - Internal Medicine MD/DO

Join our team in Tulsa, OK, for a locum position as an Internal Medicine physician. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Work dates needed: ASAP
• Preferred schedule: 8a-8p; 8p-8a; 10a-10p
• Fast track is staffed with midlevel providers from 8a-10p
• Looking for board-eligible/board-certified IM physicians with emergency medicine experience who can work 6 or more shifts per month
• On-site CT, X-ray, and lab services available
• Limited ultrasound available on weekdays from 7:30-4
• Small inpatient wing managed by dedicated, in-house hospitalist
• On-call specialists include Hospitalist, Podiatry, Optometry, Anesthesia, and Pediatrics
• Intermittent on-call specialties include General Surgery (weekdays and some weekends), Gynecology, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
• Patients will receive discharge medications from the comprehensive formulary 24/7
• Average annual volume: 21K
• Average daily volume is under 2 patients per hour, but especially at night it will be frontloaded

Requirements

• Federal security clearance required
• Any state, unrestricted Medical License
• ABEM, DEA, PALS, ATLS, ACLS, BLS certifications
• EMR: RPMS (same as the VA for many years)
• Dragon medical voice recognition available

Lodging & Travel

Provider is responsible for arranging and paying for his/her own lodging and travel. No onsite housing available; however, there are many hotels in the Lawton area. A smaller airport is located in Lawton with limited passenger service. It is only a 1:10 drive from OKC airport or a 2:45 drive from DFW.
