    Cardiology Medical Director

    BJC Medical Group Cardiology at Belleville is seeking an experienced and dynamic Cardiology Medical Director to lead our team based at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois. This is a great opportunity to utilize your leadership skills, oversee clinical operations, and ensure the highest standards of patient care.

    Job Description

    • Collaborate closely with hospital administrators, physicians, and staff
    • Improve patient outcomes and expand cardiology services
    • 4 hours a week Medical Directorship responsibilities
    • Join an established team of highly trained Cardiologists and Nurse Practitioners
    • APPs assist in clinic and inpatient rounding
    • Cardiologist Hospitalist team manages inpatient rounding
    • Dedicated Medical Assistant for each cardiologist
    • Experienced and friendly support staff and Practice Manager
    • 2-3 days in Cath Lab; 1-2 days in Clinic
    • Dedicated Cath Lab time
    • Main clinic located on the hospital campus - close to cath lab
    • Strong on-site support from cardiac and vascular support team
    • Growing Structural program

    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

    Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
    • Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
    • Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
    • Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Doctorate in Medicine

    Experience

    • 2-5 years

    Licenses & Certifications

    • Licensed Physician
