Our facility includes a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington and a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre, providing quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri.

Job Description

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
• This is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's in Nursing
• Experience: No experience required
• Licenses & Certifications: RN

Community Overview

Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri. The Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient services including medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, emergency services, and a variety of outpatient services such as oncology services, an infusion center, a wound care clinic, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre serves as a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency services and outpatient services including medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep study. The Emergency Room provides support to triage, diagnose, and treat patients presenting for emergency services in a timely, customer-focused manner on a 24/7 basis, regardless of ability to pay for the services.
