School Based Counselor Associate

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated School Based Counselor Associates to join our mission of supporting student mental health and wellness. This is a critical, full-time role in a school-based setting throughout Wayne County, NC, where you will provide vital therapeutic support to help students thrive academically and emotionally.
Job Description
- Deliver impactful individual and group counseling to students.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and psychosocial assessments.
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and documentation.
- Provide crisis support and brief interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with school staff and participate in administrative and case staffing meetings.
- Engage in school outreach and deliver educational presentations to promote wellness.
- Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation to enhance your skills.
- Manage appropriate referrals and client discharge to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- An active North Carolina associate-level license is required, such as:
- Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A).
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A).
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in counseling with children and adolescents, group therapy, and diverse populations.
- Demonstrated experience with clinical assessment, treatment planning, and DSM-V diagnostics.
- Evidence-based counseling methods and cultural competence.
- Basic case management, referral services, and family systems approaches.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
