    Family Medicine Physician

    Beautiful newly-renovated medical center. Will be either remodeling the physician clinic or building a new physician clinic. Currently working with architects.

    Job Description

    • Examines and treats members of the family, regardless of age or sex.
    • Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, including during hospitalization.
    • Provides prenatal care to pregnant women and delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants.
    • Performs surgical and other procedures as appropriate with experience and competency.
    • Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene.
    • Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary.
    • Provides services in Fairbury Clinic and/or Plymouth Clinic Monday through Friday, and in ER as supervisor to PACs on call.
    • Works to ensure quality clinical and hospital care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner.
    • Prepares records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures.
    • Attends and participates in patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences, and other appropriate professional activities as appropriate.

    Requirements

    • Medical degree from an accredited school, with a license to practice in Nebraska or can obtain a license.
    • Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency.
    • Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
