The Bon Secours Inpatient Psychiatry and Behavioral Health team is adding a Psychiatrist to the team at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA - Part of the "757" Coastal Hampton Roads/Tidewater Region! Job Description

• Licensed MD/DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Full-time position - M-F 8 hour days
• Inpatient Adult Psychiatry coverage providing behavioral health units, consults on medical floors, review of admissions from the ED and external hospitals or providers
• Call coverage:
  • 1:5 Weekend Rounding (1 weekend every 5 weeks) 4:00 PM Fri - 8:00 AM Mon
  • 1 to 2 week nights per week 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Both include cross coverage from units and admission calls
• Practice Support: 1:8 - One RN to every 8 patients and 1:6 - One Behavioral Health tech to every 6 patients
• Great Support and Resources for you and your patients - LCSW, LPC, BSW, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Recreation Therapist, RN Clinical Coordinators and Nurse Manager
• Average 8-12 patients per day
• Patient ages - 18+ and approx. 70% adult, 30% geriatric
• Opportunity to mentor medical students
• Mentorship available by Medical Director
