    Neonatologist

    Seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Neonatologist for our level 2+ NICU near Albany, NY. This is a full-time hospital-employed opportunity. There is also the opportunity to moonlight at a nearby level 3 NICU in Albany, NY.

    The neonatologist will care for infants in the NICU and mother-baby unit, provide high-risk OB/neonatal consults, and attend high-risk deliveries. Bellevue's Level 2+ Special Care Nursery is one of only three in northeastern New York that provides these specialized services for infants over 30 weeks gestation in need of non-surgical medical intervention and care.

The OB/GYN services include breast care, surgery, gynecologic care, and maternity, and features the region's first OB/GYN Hospitalist program to deliver enhanced care for pregnant women.

    Job Description

    • 2,000 deliveries annually
    • 15 bed level 2B NICU
    • Average 190+ NICU admissions annually (ADC 4.6)
    • Mother-baby census, ADC 10
    • 2 providers on weekdays dividing NICU, mother-baby unit, and LDR
    • 15 day shifts, 8 out-of-house night calls (including 1 weekend) per month
    • Out-of-house call within a 20-minute radius
    • Care for infants gestational age 30 weeks and older and birth weight greater than 1250 grams
    • Supervision and teaching of family medicine residents
