Join our team as a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Amarillo, TX.

Job Description

• Accountable to assist the RN and surgeon in preparing for surgical procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and prepare for the next case.
• The scrub technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon.
• He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Requirements

• Current Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous ORT/CST experience
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
