    Job Description

    • Support and evaluate social work practice initiatives.
    • Ensure that Social Services delivery is consistent and in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines, regulations, Genesis policies and procedures, and standards of care for specialty practice.
    • Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and direct the overall operation of the nursing center Social Workers in accordance with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics while maintaining compliance with regulations.
    • Foster a climate, policies, and routines that enable patients/residents to maximize their individuality, independence, and dignity so as to provide the highest level of well-being and quality of life.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of Social Work is required.
    • Must possess any certifications/licensures as required by State of employment to practice in long-term care.
    • Must possess a driver's license and be willing to travel.
    • Knowledgeable of accepted standards of practice for social workers in long-term care.
    • Competent in values, ethics, and theoretical perspectives; assessment; intervention; aging services, programs, and policies.
    • Knowledgeable of biological, psychological, social, emotional, spiritual, practical informational and financial needs and challenges experienced by the patient/resident, family, and caregiver.
    • Able to work cooperatively as a team member.
    • Possess supervisory, interviewing, problem-solving skills.
    • Technologically proficient in the tools required for practice (i.e. PCC, etc.).

    Salary Range

    USD $65,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
