Registered Nurse - Cardio/Pulm/Med/Surg
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the CT8 Cardio/Pulm/Med/Surg unit. This position offers a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to medically complex patients.
Job Description
- Manage a diverse patient population primarily consisting of cardiac patients with cardiac drips and post-cardiac procedures, pulmonary patients, and medical-surgical overflow with a variety of diagnoses. Adult population over 17 years of age.
- Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6.
- Collaborate with team members to drive new patient care initiatives and promote a culture of inclusion.
- Perform full head-to-toe assessments, initiate and manage cardiac drips, and provide pre and post-procedural care including cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/ICD placement, ablation, and revascularization.
- Administer medication via multiple routes and communicate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Utilize equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacs, telemetry monitoring, tube feeding pumps, Zoll defibrillator, and electronic EMR.
- Ensure basic BLS (within 30 days of hire) and ACLS (within 1 year of hire) certifications are obtained.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Associate's Degree; High School Diploma/GED.

- $2,500 BSN bonus for nurses with 1 or more years of experience (External Applicants Only).
- Comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation ranging from $33.68 per hour to $57.93 per hour.
