Registered Nurse - R4 Medical-Surgical

Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the R4 Medical-Surgical unit. This position offers a supportive and fast-paced environment where teamwork plays a crucial role in the success of patient care.

Job Description

• Number of beds on unit: 15 units, available to flex up to 20
• Patient population: Medical-surgical, variety of diagnoses, adult population over 17 years of age, semi-private rooms
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Department culture: Fast-paced unit with medically complex patients, relying on strong communication skills between all team members
• Frequent nursing skills/equipment used: Assessment, all forms of medication administration, good communication skills with provider team, IV insertion, ADL needs, use of plum pump, wound vacs, telemetry monitoring, tube feeding pumps, and electronic EMR

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree

Benefits

• $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants
• $5,000 relocation bonus for greater than 100 miles or $2,500 for greater than 50 miles
• $2,500 BSN bonus for nurses with 1 or more years of experience
• Comprehensive benefits package including competitive compensation ranging from $33.68 per hour to $57.93 per hour
