    New Grad RN - Medical Oncology Specialty Unit and Surgical Nursing Unit

    Day shift opportunity for New Grad RN with our Medical Oncology Specialty Unit and/or Surgical Nursing Unit. New Grad RN sign-on bonus of $5,000 with a 3-year commitment.

    Job Description

    • Participate in the New Graduate Nurse Residency Program, which assists the nurse in the transition from student to professional nursing practice.
    • Engage in facilitated learning sessions, discussions, and reflective self-care sessions in a group setting.
    • Receive comprehensive orientation, including classroom orientation followed by unit-based orientation with a unit preceptor.
    • Attend additional classroom, simulation, virtual reality, and skill sessions presented by expert-level RNs and Clinical Development Specialists.
    • Complete initial assessments upon patient admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
    • Implement nursing interventions and modify plans of care based on continuous evaluation.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to assist in professional development.
    • Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies and complete mandatory training and competency modules.

    Requirements

    • Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
    • College diploma in Nursing.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • The compensation range for this position is $31.65 per hour - $54.44 per hour.
