Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) II

Join our team as a Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) II, responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. This position involves collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.

Job Description

• Assume a full patient assignment and plan, analyze, intervene, and set goals for patient care accordingly.
• Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• Maintain a safe care environment for patients and deliver quality care.
• Conduct individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs.
• Develop, modify, and integrate an individualized care plan incorporating the medical plan of care and key elements from other disciplines.
• Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by the provider in an accurate and timely manner.
• Recognize potential problems and respond to urgent and/or emergent risks to the patient.
• Evaluate patient's responses to care based on the effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relation to established goals.
• Identify learning needs of patients/families and teach by adapting standard information based on needs.
• Make sound judgments in coordinating multiple, increasingly complex patient care demands.
• Participate in service recovery and handle conflict resolution in an appropriate manner.
• Support organizational efforts regarding appropriate resource utilization.

Requirements

• Minimum: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum: At least one year of nursing (RN) experience
• Minimum: Registration as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or holds a compact license to practice in Virginia
• Basic Life Support certification

Additional Specialty Requirements After Hire Date

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) requirements may be waived for 100% remote employees
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatrics
• Advanced and Pediatric Advanced Life Support for Emergency Department
