    Physician Scientist Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism

    City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center in Duarte, California, is accepting applications from qualified physician scientists for faculty positions as Associate/Full Professor. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in basic, translational, or clinical research in thyroid cancer or metabolism. Priority will be given to those candidates with a track record of extramural funding.

    Job Description

    • The Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (DEM) at City of Hope provides care and conducts research on a variety of diabetes and endocrine disorders, including but not limited to: diabetes, obesity, thyroid cancer, endocrine tumors, metabolic bone diseases, reproductive disorders, and management of endocrine complications that can result from cancer treatment.
    • The Department of DEM manages approximately 4,500 individual patients annually, including 7,500 outpatient visits and 6,500 inpatient visits.
    • The Department has eleven faculty and hosts an ACGME-accredited endocrine subspecialty training program.
    • The Bechman Research Institute and Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute at City of Hope have infrastructure to advance basic and translational research in cancer and diabetes.

    Requirements

    • Candidates must have a strong background in basic, translational, or clinical research in thyroid cancer or metabolism.
    • A track record of extramural funding is preferred.

    • Total compensation: $300K - $450K (base pay commensurate with qualified academic rank). Additional incentives available.
