    Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Oncology

    Job Description

    • Facilitate the delivery of safe, effective, and pharmacoeconomically rational medications to the cancer patient population.
    • Participate in education, guideline/policy development and implementation, professional development, performance improvement initiatives, and clinical research.
    • Develop and maintain a clinical pharmacy practice with direct patient care activities designed to optimize the pharmacotherapeutic aspects of patient care.

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy, Bachelor or PharmD; Doctorate degree.
    • Indiana Pharmacist license; Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred.
    • Successfully completed PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology preferred.
    • Experience working in pharmacy, knowledge of treatment modalities, and dedication to patient care.
    • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and visitors.
    • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the area.
