Job Description

• Provide direct day-to-day care of patients and families in a 42-bed unit.
• Practice to the fullest extent of your license in accordance with organizational policies.
• Function as a member of the Patient Focused Care Team in collaboration and implementation of the established patient plan of care.
• Participate with the Nurse Manager in continuous performance improvement.
• Provide care specific to ages and developmental needs of adult and geriatric patients.
• Manage acute cardiac care patients and invasive lines including carotid and femoral surgeries with appropriate interventions, therapies, and expected outcomes.
• Work 12-hour shifts (7A and 7P).

How You'll Contribute

A Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.

Requirements

• Current state RN license.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification.
• One year acute cardiovascular care experience or other comparable nursing experience.
• ASLS certification preferred.
