Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Join our team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a stable and beautiful work environment. We offer full-time positions with AM, PM, and overnight shifts available, providing a competitive hourly wage of $38.50-$40.
Job Description
- Assist the Director and oversee the direct care of the residents provided by the Caregivers and Medication Aides.
- Assist the Director with contacting residents' attending physicians for changes of condition, new admission orders, discharge orders, and all necessary changes in medication and treatment orders.
- Notify resident family members/surrogate decision makers of changes in condition, changes in medication and treatment orders, obtaining informed consents, developing resident care plans, and document all physician, resident, family member/surrogate decision maker communication.
- Respond quickly, calmly, and professionally to medical emergencies.
- Knowledgeably and skillfully perform intravenous therapy within the LVN scope of practice, tube feedings, oxygen administration and related procedures, catheterizations, suctioning, and dressing changes.
- Accurately carry out medication administration and treatment procedures.
- Assist with direct resident care, such as bathing, grooming, transferring, and repositioning as needed.
- Willing to accept additional responsibilities in emergency situations to ensure quality resident care is maintained.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing.
- At least one year of experience providing direct nursing care to the elderly and chronically ill patients, preferably in an Assisted Living facility.
- Knowledge of Title 22 RCFE Regulations preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
