Physician Anesthesiologist (MD/DO)

Join our Rockford, IL team! This full-time Physician Anesthesiologist opportunity provides comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care across hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, labor and delivery units, and ICU environments.

Job Description

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative anesthesia care, including pre-anesthetic evaluation, individualized anesthesia planning, intraoperative management, and postoperative recovery care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and perioperative teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes while participating in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and peer review activities.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (unless within 4 years of residency)
• Active or eligible state medical license
• DEA registration or eligibility
• ACLS and BLS certification (PALS if required by practice setting)

Schedule

• Full-time Monday to Friday
• One weekday call per week (Monday to Thursday rotation)
• Approximately one weekend call per month (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• One holiday call sequence annually
• Opportunity to pick up additional call shifts for additional compensation

Additional Time Off

• 7 weeks vacation/CME time annually
• 2 weeks sick time annually
• After 5 years, vacation/CME time increases to 8 weeks

Benefits

• Base salary of $575,000 annually
• $75,000 sign-on bonus (first-year total compensation $655,000)
• $5,000 annual CME, expense, and insurance allowance
