Join our team as a Physician Assistant in a dynamic role that combines both inpatient and outpatient care. This position is essential in supporting multiple service lines and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a variety of specialists.

Job Description

• Work dates needed: Locums starting ASAP 6/23/25 ongoing for maternity leave
• Preferred schedule: 5-8s Monday to Friday starting at 7:30 AM. Provider must take an hour lunch each day. Any hours worked beyond 8 hours per day will be billed as overtime.
• Worksite setting: Combination position of inpatient and outpatient
• Scope of work: This PA will support 4 service lines: Hands, Joints, Sports, and Orthopedic Oncology, working with 4 physicians. Responsibilities include inpatient pre-op, rounding, and outpatient care most days, with 1 to 2 days a week potentially assisting with surgeries. On Wednesdays, the provider will see patients in the Beverly Hills location, about 40 minutes away from Keck Hospital. The hand specialist sees up to 60 patients a day with the PA, the joint physician sees up to 25 a day, the sports physician sees 40 per day, and the orthopedic oncology physician sees around 20 patients a day.

Requirements

• CA license, DEA, BLS, and ACLS
• 2 years of logs supporting suturing of incisions

Benefits

• Pay rate: $120 per provider with overtime after 8 hours a day
• Credentials: 90 days
