    Gastroenterologist

    Join our team as a Gastroenterologist at a Level 1 trauma center, which includes a hospital, outpatient clinic, and a free-standing GI center. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.

    Job Description

    • Work dates needed: 11/27-12/4, 12/4-12/11, 12/11-12/18, 12/18-12/25, 12/25-1/1/26
    • Preferred schedule: 7 am to 4 pm with offsite call, returning for emergencies only
    • Call consists of inpatient rounding and inpatient/outpatient procedures
    • APP assistance for rounding on established patients and can assist with new admits requiring consults
    • Total beds: 600
    • Required procedures: upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, esophageal dilatation/manometry, manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy and with excision of polyps)
    • Preferred procedures: upper GI endoscopy (foreign body removal, cautery vs laser, injections with varices, banding of varices, ERCP, EUS, liver biopsy, insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube, advanced endoscopy)

    Requirements

    • Board certified
    • South Carolina licensed
    • ACLS and BLS certified
    • DEA registered
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience
    • No history of malpractice or licensure issues
    • EMR: EPIC - must complete training virtually on Tuesdays before starting
