Join our team at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX, for a long-term vacancy in Interventional Radiology. This position offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Job Description
- Work dates needed: Start on March 12, 2026, and end on March 23, 2026, with ongoing dates not disclosed yet.
- Preferred schedule: Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch.
- Evening call: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
- No on-call for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
- Coverage type includes scheduled clinical hours plus call.
- Call type is beeper with a call ratio of 1:5 and a call response time of 30 minutes for emergencies only.
- Phone consults: Approximately 10 daily in 24 hours.
- Average patients seen on call: Not specified.
- Worksite setting: Laredo Medical Center, a Trauma Level 3, stroke-certified facility.
- Average cases per day: 16.
- Procedures include fistulogram-declotting, liver mass biopsy, thoracentesis, thyroid biopsy, shoulder arthrogram, paracentesis, renal mass embolization, CVL, abdominal mass biopsy, and bone marrow aspiration, tunneled HD catheter, and central line.
- Hospital/surgery center privileges required.
Requirements
- License: Texas only (no IMLC accepted).
- Board certification: Not required.
- Fellowship: Preferred.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
- Temporary privileges: Yes.
- Credentialing: ASAP.
