Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Join our team as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician. This position is essential due to turnover and upcoming leaves of absence, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact in our outpatient setting.

Job Description

• Coverage needed for 2 FTE MDs and 1 FTE NP/PA.
• Outpatient coverage required starting July 1st for 6 months, with a possible extension until permanent hires are made.
• Department shift schedule consists of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Sunday.
• Daytime shifts for APPs start at 7 AM; evening shifts are being restructured.
• Physicians will have daytime shifts starting at 7 AM, with possible overnight shifts starting at 11 PM.
• Required to handle Pediatric EM cases and standard EM procedures.
• Expected patient encounters per shift range from 12 to 16.
• Available support staff includes PEM physicians, occasional non-PEM moonlighters, residents, and a full complement of imaging capabilities available 24/7.

Requirements

• Physician must have completed a Pediatric residency with a Pediatric EM fellowship or be board-certified/truly board-eligible in ABEM/AOBEM, with Pediatric EM experience.
• NP and PA candidates must have Pediatric EM experience.
• Vaccination requirements include COVID and flu vaccinations; religious and medical exemptions are accepted.
• Licensure candidates must have IMLC LOQ or an active license (attach IMLC LOQ copy when presenting).
• Minimum availability considered is at least 1 week per month.
