Physician Assistant, Rheumatology
We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and professional Physician Assistant (Rheumatology) to join our rapidly growing and dynamic team. Practice medicine with physician supervision including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. PAs exercise autonomy in medical decision-making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, which may include responsibility for administrative duties and additional tasks.
Job Description
- Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses and conditions including giving injections. Consult with physicians as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases.
- Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care.
- Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems. Respond to emergencies including the use of CPR.
- Counsel patients/families on preventive health care.
- Provide oversight as needed for the infusion department.
- Four years of health care experience prior to applying to the PA program, plus one year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinical setting.
