Join our team in Ketchikan, Alaska, for an exciting opportunity in Emergency Medicine at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center. This position is available from June 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

Job Description

• MD/DO single coverage model
• No NP/PA coverage
• No call
• Shifts: 7 AM to 7 PM or 6 PM to 7 AM
• Annual ED Volume: 8,220
• Patients per day (higher in summer due to cruise tourism)
• 12% admissions, 3% transfers
• 10 ED rooms and 3 hallway care spaces
• No scribe coverage
• EMR: Epic
• Backup specialties available (Anesthesia, Peds, ICU, General Surgery, Ortho, L&D, Case Management)

Requirements

• ABEM or AOBEM board certification only
• 2 to 3 months credentialing with AK license & DEA
• Alaska license strongly preferred (licensing & Medicaid enrollment can be lengthy)

Compensation

• Daily overtime after 12 hours
• Weekly overtime after 168 hours
