Locum FNP/PA-C - Primary Care

Located in Wine Country and Agriculture Town USA in the beautiful Monterey County, CA. 45 minutes inland from the beach, 50 minutes from Carmel By the Sea, and an hour from Big Sur, CA.

Job Description

• Client has an urgent need due to losing a permanent provider to another internal position, with their last day next week.
• Spanish speaking highly preferred due to a large Spanish speaking population.
• Top hourly rate plus all travel expenses.
• Nearest airport is in Monterey, CA or one hour away in San Jose, CA.
• Family medicine in an outpatient clinic.
• Start date: November 4th.
• End date: January 6th.
• Leave of absence: 3-month contract with an option to extend.
• Credentialing timeframe: 2-3 weeks.
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5 or 9-6; may consider 4 10s.
• Patient volume: 18-22 patients per day (locums cover walk-ins and the majority of adult patients, with many Spanish speaking patients).
• EMR: Athena Health.
• License: CA.
• Certifications: BLS, DEA, Board Certified.
• Relevant experience: At least 1 year of Family Medicine background.

Additional Information

Client has had to use locums in the past, and providers that have come here have enjoyed it. Athena Health EMR is user-friendly, and they have senior providers who are good resources for the locums. They have a Pediatrician, two part-time MDs, a Medical Director (MD), and one other PA.
