Locum Hospitalist

Locum hospitalists are needed in Alma, Midland, and Tawas, MI. We are looking for multiple providers who can cover the majority of the available dates.

Job Description

• Hourly rate plus travel expenses
• Credentialing typically takes 30 days, with applications prioritized according to start date
• Start date: 6/29
• End date: 9/28
• Schedule:
  • Night shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
  • Rounding shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM
  • Admitting shifts: 10 AM - 8 PM
• Alma:
  • 9/16 - 9/21: Nights
  • 9/28: Nights
• Midland:
  • 6/29: Nights
  • 6/30: Rounding
  • 7/7, 7/8: Midland Night
  • 7/10: Rounding
  • 7/13 - 7/14: Midland Admitter (10 AM - 8 PM)
  • 7/11 - 7/14: Rounding
  • 7/27 - 7/28: Rounding
  • 8/11: Midland Admitter
• Tawas:
  • 7 AM - 7 PM with on-call at night on the following dates:
    • 7/6, 7/11, 7/14, 7/24-7/25, 7/28, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/19, 9/22, 9/28
• Sault:
  • 7/28 - 7/31

Patient Volume

• Midland:
  • 325 beds, closed ICU, intensivist available 24/7, average census around 20 patients each
• Alma:
  • 80 beds, average census around 45-50, with 15-18 patients per provider, open ICU, pulmonologist available 24/7
• Clare:
  • 49 licensed-bed hospital, average PPD of 12-15, provider will take call overnight, must be experienced and comfortable rounding on their own

Cases/Procedures

• Bread and butter hospitalist
• No procedures

Clinical Support

• APPs available (no supervising required)

EMR

• EPIC with Dragon Dictation

Requirements

• MI license or IMLC
• Certifications: BCIM, ACLS
• Must have completed 50 inpatient logs within the last 12 months (must be able to present and send over for verification)
