Locum Interventional Radiologist
Join our team as a Locum Interventional Radiologist in Oklahoma City, OK. This position offers an opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center with ongoing shifts and coverage.
Job Description
- Provide coverage for ongoing shifts with top hourly pay and all travel expenses covered.
- Credentialing process takes 60-90 days.
- Start date: October-November 2025; End date: April 2026; Length of assignment: 6 months.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM with a one-hour lunch.
- Seeking candidates with a minimum availability of 2 weeks.
- Shift includes 1 week (7 days) per month of 24/7 call, which includes both inpatient and outpatient care, typically requiring candidates to be called in twice during the call cycle.
- Typical patient volume is around 10 cases per day, with a maximum of 20 cases occasionally.
- Perform image-guided procedures to diagnose conditions such as blockages in blood vessels, tumors, and infections.
- Treat medical conditions by placing stents to open narrowed blood vessels, embolizing tumors to stop blood flow, inserting catheters to remove blood clots or drain fluid, performing biopsies for diagnosis, providing pain relief through injections or nerve blocks, and guiding other medical professionals during procedures.
Requirements
- Experience with Level 1 trauma.
- Oklahoma license needed (will wait for a license).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology.
- Completion of Interventional Radiology Fellowship.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
Additional Information
- Hospital bed size: 500 adult beds, 126 ICU beds.
- Trauma level: Level 1, Level IV NICU.
