Driscoll Health System's division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine is pleased to announce a job opening for an inpatient faculty position at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. This campus is a freestanding children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric ICU and ER, as well as a full scope of pediatric subspecialist and surgical specialties. As the Medical Director of Hospitalist Medicine, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of a growing Pediatric Hospitalist department and leading a team of talented physicians. The current program is partnered with Driscoll Children's Residency program. Your expertise and leadership skills will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Eligible physicians should be Board Certified in Pediatrics with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Subspecialty certification in Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine is preferred. An unrestricted TX license or the ability to obtain one is required. Responsibilities include inpatient care, coverage of the pediatric unit and intermediate care unit, consult services, clinic coverage, and teaching of residents. You will develop and implement departmental policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure effective patient care. Additionally, you will oversee medical staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage of hospital services, monitor patient outcomes, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction to identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate interventions while providing mentorship.
