Substance Use Disorder Treatment Psychiatrist

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS), headquartered in New Orleans, LA, is seeking one board certified/board eligible mental health Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) Psychiatrist. This psychiatrist will provide therapeutic care, treatment, medication management, and rehabilitative services to veterans suffering from opiate and alcohol addictions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Job Description

• Provide therapeutic care, treatment, medication management, and rehabilitative services to veterans suffering from opiate and alcohol addictions.
• Redirect services as needed in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and the schedule of this solicitation from the effective date with options to extend this proposed contract.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
• VA experience is preferred.
• A background investigation is required.
