Job Description

• Work schedule includes days/evenings for 6 to 8 weeks, covering 40 hours typically through 4 x 10-hour shifts, which may include a combination of clinical and administrative periods per week, 6-hour evening swing shifts, or 10-hour Fast Track shifts.
• Nights consist of 2 weeks of overnight shifts, typically 3 x 12-hour shifts with 1 x 4-hour administrative period per week.
• Weekend coverage includes 2 weekends (1 scheduled weekend for every 4th weekend), defined as Saturday through Monday morning.
• Holiday coverage is tracked and rotated among all ED staff, including contractors.

Requirements

• Federal holidays observed by the Department of Veterans Affairs include New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and any day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday.
