Radiologist Hospital & Interventional Procedures
A hospital seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist to provide acute care imaging coverage including interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
Job Description
- Hospital imaging coverage including stroke CTs, ED, ICU, and inpatient studies
- Interventional Radiology procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage, chest tubes, and biopsies (thyroid, lung, others)
- Outpatient building coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies (optional)
- Average daily volume: 70 studies plus 5-8 procedures
- Modalities: CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and IR procedures
- EMR system: Cerner
- Support from radiology nurses, techs, and a large radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
Requirements
- Skilled in acute care imaging and IR procedures
- Comfortable managing stroke imaging and emergency/ICU studies
- BLS and DEA certification required
- Clean malpractice preferred
- Must have fluoroscopy certification at submission
