    Radiologist Hospital & Interventional Procedures

    A hospital seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiologist to provide acute care imaging coverage including interventional radiology (IR) procedures.

    Job Description

    • Hospital imaging coverage including stroke CTs, ED, ICU, and inpatient studies
    • Interventional Radiology procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, abscess drainage, chest tubes, and biopsies (thyroid, lung, others)
    • Outpatient building coverage for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies (optional)
    • Average daily volume: 70 studies plus 5-8 procedures
    • Modalities: CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and IR procedures
    • EMR system: Cerner
    • Support from radiology nurses, techs, and a large radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads

    Requirements

    • Skilled in acute care imaging and IR procedures
    • Comfortable managing stroke imaging and emergency/ICU studies
    • BLS and DEA certification required
    • Clean malpractice preferred
    • Must have fluoroscopy certification at submission
