Anesthesiologist Call Taker
Emory Specialty Associates is seeking to hire an Anesthesiologist Call Taker to join our astounding Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital team. This position is focused on both inpatient and outpatient orthopedics with high utilization of peripheral nerve blocks in a care team model. The primary site will be our orthopedic and spine hospital. There are also opportunities to work at orthopedic and multi-disciplinary ASCs.
Total annual compensation starts at 550K plus retirement and CME funds. Relocation stipend available.
Job Description
- Attend to the needs of all patients within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing.
- Perform patient care activities to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a Physician and assist in generating adequate practice volume.
- Participate in on-call duties and actively participate in meetings and committees.
- Practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.
- Cover Emory Hillandale Hospital in addition to several ambulatory surgery centers.
- Manage a case mix that includes inpatient and outpatient orthopedics with opportunities at multi-specialty ambulatory surgical centers.
- Work in a robust and collaborative care team model that provides exceptional resources and peer support.
- Medical direction is 1:3.
- Call duties are from home every 6th night on average, with a maximum of one weekend per month.
- Proficiency in regional anesthesia is required.
Requirements
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.).
- Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
- Board eligible or board certified preferred.
- Hold a valid DEA certificate without restriction.
- Experience in outpatient medical practice preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Must be computer literate.
- Candidates must possess an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent and be eligible to apply for a medical license in the state of Georgia.
- American Board of Anesthesiology board-certified or board eligible.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required.

Compensation Information
$550,000.00 / Annually - $650,000.00 / Annually
