Primary Care Physician
Join our dedicated team as a Primary Care Physician at an Association-operated Community Health Center. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in a supportive environment.
Job Description
- Provide primary, acute, and chronic patient care, including emergency care, at an Association-operated Community Health Center and/or outpatient or inpatient medical care at a hospital.
- Develop and maintain good rapport with patients, treating each one equally without regard to their race, creed, color, sex, or socioeconomic status.
- Perform clinic health care duties for an agreed-upon number of hours per week, determined by mutual consent between the Physician and the Executive Director.
- Maintain full active hospital privileges at Othello Community Hospital.
- Provide services for call coverage and inpatient care at Othello Community Hospital on weekdays, evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all clinical activities pertaining to patient care in accordance with medical records protocol.
- Meet all requirements regarding approved continuing medical education and advise the Medical Director of preferences in advance.
- Participate in the Association's Health Care Provider Quality Assurance Peer Review Program.
- Attend staff conferences and medical meetings.
- Be available for consultation with other Association Health Care Providers and the Association Director and Board of Directors on various matters.
- Devote entire time and attention to the practice of this profession, along with required administrative and management duties.
- Not render services of a professional nature for compensation while employed by the Association without express written consent.
- Promote a positive work culture and uphold clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE standards of behavior.
- Uphold confidentiality at all times regarding CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information, and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical School.
- Completion of an accredited post-doctoral residency program in Pediatrics.
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of Washington.
- Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (preferred).
- At least one year of internship experience.

Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in the use of Electronic Medical Record Software.

- Responsible for effectively communicating basic or non-technical information to co-workers and others.
- Ability to provide effective communication in written correspondence.
- Job duties require effective communication during informal and formal verbal presentations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel to various clinic sites is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurance liability standards to drive company vehicles.
