Psychiatrist

Join our team as a Psychiatrist in a facility that operates at the PHP/IOP level of care, providing services for adults with mental health and substance use disorders. This position offers a flexible schedule with no weekends and no on-call hours.

Job Description

• Provide initial psychiatric evaluations and medical reviews.
• Conduct follow-up visits with medication management.
• Be available for treatment team case consults weekly.
• Treat substance abuse patients with some psychiatric diagnoses.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) supplemented by the completion of psychiatric residency training.
• One or more years of post-graduate practice preferred.
• Current license to practice medicine in the state where the facility operates.
• Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty.
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Additional Information

• Experience treating PHP and IOP patients, or inpatient substance abuse and psychiatric patients is preferred.
• Patient caseload will likely be 2-3 days a week (2-3 hours per day based on need), with no more than 5 patients per day as they are only seen weekly in PHP and bi-weekly in IOP.
• Documentation will be done using EHR-HCS.
• There will be no medication storage or administration on site; all medication orders will go to patients' home pharmacies.
