Provides anesthesia care in the operating room in support of surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under the general supervision of an anesthesiologist. Provides preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up. Functions as a patient advocate and confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families, and physicians.
Job Description
- Geisinger Medical Center is seeking an additional CRNA to join our diverse team.
- This opportunity provides an excellent case and patient mix for those wishing to practice at a Level I Trauma Center. Coverage is provided for nearly all case types with the exception of heart/lung transplants and burns. Support is also provided for 13 non-OR anesthesia sites including GI/Pulm, Cath/EP lab, IR, OB, and MRI. Geisinger Medical Center has 31 operating rooms, is a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and its building is physically connected to the Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital.

Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
