    Physician Assistant / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

    Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our skilled team of critical care providers, practicing state-of-the-art medicine with support from excellent physicians and nursing staff.

    Job Description

    • Work 14 shifts/month
    • Mix of days/nights
    • 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
    • Serve in a collaborative role with the physician and staff in assessing needs, planning and providing education and care, evaluating outcomes, and coordinating follow-up and referrals for patients
    • Function as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor, and liaison between patients, families, and physicians
    • Moonlighting available for extra income

    Requirements

    • Education: Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Required), Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
    • Certification(s) and License(s): Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
