Job Description

• Make a difference where it matters most by joining Geisinger Sunbury in Sunbury, PA.
• Enjoy extended appointment times: 40 minutes for medically complex patients and 20 minutes for average complexity and acute care visits.
• Work within a collaborative care model with physician/APP panel sharing and daily huddles with care team members.
• Benefit from a comprehensive support team, including pharmacists for patient education and medication management, care managers, health managers, clinic health associates, and coding educators.
• Utilize a centralized prescription refill team and a nurse call center to assist with on-call workload.
• Work with Epic EMR (universal across Geisinger) with ambient dictation.
• Access expanded care through eVisits, patient portals, and Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care clinics.

Requirements

• Advanced Practitioner must be able to see all age ranges from Pediatric (birth) to Geriatric.
• The successful Physician Assistant candidate will require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Pennsylvania State licensure.
• The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will need a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
