    Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician

    Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking an internal medicine or family medicine board certified or board eligible physician to join their dynamic team. The hospitalist position is a non-PTO accruing position, benefits eligible.

    Job Description

    • Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is a 123-bed acute care community hospital serving the 80,000 residents of Mifflin and Juniata counties and members of the contiguous counties of Centre, Perry, Snyder, and Huntingdon. Established in 1905, the hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, wellness, and community services while employing over 1,000 full-time and part-time employees and providing a Medical Staff consisting of more than 150 physicians and allied health practitioners representing specialties ranging from family medicine, internal medicine, and cardiology to infectious disease and general/cardiovascular surgery.

    • Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories. Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.

    • Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness. May prescribe or administer medications. Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.

    • Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.     Position Schedule

    • 7 days on - 7 days off

    • 7 PM - 7 AM

    • ICU: Open
