Night Shift Hospitalist

Join our team as a Night Shift Hospitalist, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care during the night hours.

Job Description

• Night shift only (7 PM to 7 AM)
• In-house coverage for ER admissions and acute medical decision-making
• Manage admissions overnight; evaluate appropriateness for acute care
• Support code and rapid response calls
• Closed ICU with intensivist backup for escalated cases
• No procedures required beyond code participation; central lines preferred but not mandatory
• Meditech EMR (legacy version)

Team & Support

• Supervise residents during night shift
• Daytime hospitalist team of 6 to 7 full-time providers
• Observation unit in ED managed by ER physicians
• No current APPs, but open to NP/PA night coverage as supplement

Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
• Teaching experience or comfort supervising residents strongly preferred
