Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

ACNP/PA - Cardiac Observation Unit

Large hospital organization with a location in eastern Texas, an hour west of Shreveport, LA, is looking for an ACNP/PA to work in their Cardiac Observation Unit.

Job Description

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Cardiology specialty similar to a hospitalist role in a hospital
• Group is expanding the COBS unit to allow 24/7 coverage
• Will join a team of 2 other NP/PAs currently
• Prefer Cardiology, Urgent Care, or Hospitalist experience, but don't want to turn away new grads with a passion and flexibility needed
• No set schedule as of now - must be willing to work days and nights as needed
• 8 hour shifts rotating
• 100% hospital based - no clinic
• Admit patients to COBS unit, consult patients that come from the ER, frequent contact with Hospitalist, etc.
