    Academic Medical Dermatologist

    The Department of Dermatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an academic medical dermatologist with interests in patient care and teaching. Our department of 17 dermatologists provides unique opportunities for medical dermatologists to practice and teach at the Medical Center in the Longwood Medical Area and in our department's state-of-the-art practices in Chestnut Hill and/or Needham.

    Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive care in the General Dermatology clinics.
    • Participate in 16 subspecialty clinics and programs including atopic dermatitis, patch testing, hidradenitis suppurativa, high risk, pigmented lesions, and melanoma.
    • Offer in-depth and multidisciplinary care for complex patient conditions.
    • Engage in a sophisticated learning environment for the department's trainees.
    • Contribute to the cosmetic practice offering a full range of leading-edge services utilizing lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, and injectables.
    • Collaborate with an on-site pharmacist and inpatient consult service for crucial support to patients and faculty.
    • Develop clinical/translational research projects leading to tangible contributions and published manuscripts.

    Requirements

    • Must have excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching and working with residents.
    • Interest in clinical research is strongly encouraged.
    • Must be board eligible or certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
    • Commitment to the values of an academic environment is required.
    • Appointment as an Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
