    Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist

    We are seeking a highly experienced Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist for a locum tenens opportunity in western Pennsylvania near Adamsburg. This temporary assignment is ideal for a dedicated physician looking for a brief yet fulfilling experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

    Job Description

    • Dates: December 23-27, 2024
    • Practice setting: Inpatient and outpatient services
    • Call type: Backup/second call with a 15-minute response time
    • EMR system: Epic
    • Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 45 days
    • Trauma level: Level I facility

    Requirements

    • Active Pennsylvania State Medical License and PA DEA
    • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspecialty in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
    • Completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in OB/GYN and fellowship in MFM
    • Current certifications in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

    Key Practice Features

    • Team structure: Collaborative care model with 2 Perinatologists, 3 OB/GYNs, 1 GYN, 2 Neonatologists, 3 CRNPs, 5 Certified Nurse Midwives, and 7 NICU midlevel providers
    • Patient volume:
      • Outpatient: Approximately 30 patients/day
      • Inpatient: Approximately 10 patients/day
    • Delivery support: 15-minute response time for C-sections; CNMs take first call

    Specialty Services Include

    • Management of high-risk pregnancies (e.g., gestational diabetes, placenta previa, VBACs, and more)
    • Advanced procedures: Amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, fetal blood sampling, and targeted ultrasounds
    • Access to a Level III NICU and helicopter services for critical cases
